Mustangs Dance Hall and Saloon Opens

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino brings a little western swing to Reno with the opening of Mustangs Dance Hall and Saloon 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7. The night will kick off with a deejay spinning country hits beginning at 9:30 p.m. followed by live music from the band Clear Blue 22 at 10 p.m.

Wild horses will not be able to drag visitors away from this dynamic venue featuring live music from local country bands, up-and-coming country acts, western legends and celebrity deejays Tuesday – Saturday nights. Sexy cowgirl servers will perform custom dance routines every half hour including sultry moves on top of the bar. Spectacular drink specials make Mustangs Dance Hall and Saloon the wildest watering hole in Reno.

Guests can enjoy its “Back in the Saddle Specials” including Texas Cool-Aid made with Ketel One vodka, Midori Melon liqueur, Crème de Noyaux, a splash of cranberry juice and club soda. Another honky-tonk cocktail on the menu is the Horses Apple, which is created with Crown Royal, Apple Pucker and cranberry juice and is served on the rocks or straight up in a martini glass.

Wake Up with Starbucks

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is proud to open a Starbucks store in its lobby this summer.

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is bringing to its lobby lattes, cappuccinos and other espresso beverages as it welcomes the most recognized and respected coffee brand in the world.

"We are very excited to bring Starbucks to our resort," said Richard Langlois, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. "Bringing the Starbucks Experience to our guests is a perfect fit for the luxurious atmosphere we are striving to create for our customers."

The store will be operated by the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino and it will be open 24 hours a day.

Nikki Beach Grand Opening

Grand Sierra Resort is making waves with a star-studded weekend celebrating the opening of Nikki Beach at its resort on July 6, 7 and 8. Nikki Beach raises the bar and kick starts summer with its grand opening weekend bash. With festivities beginning on Friday, July 6 and lasting until Sunday, July 8, Nikki Beach will keep the party going with exciting events and celebrity guests each night.

Friday, July 6: At 6:30 p.m., DJ Vice shows off his world famous talent on the turntables, spinning the hottest beats while actress Shannon Elizabeth hosts the opening night of music, cocktails and dancing in the sexy new venue from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Saturday, July 7: L.A. Guns rules the stage with a live performance. The straight-up dirty rock and roll band was put together by Tracii Guns in 1982 and its original members went on to form Guns N’ Roses. Axl Rose, Phil Lewis and Jizzy Pearl were once all members of L.A. Guns, and the band continues today with members Paul Black, Jeremy Guns, Chad Stewart and Tracii Guns. L.A. Guns rocks the house 11 p.m. to midnight.

Sunday, July 8: Kendra Wilkinson from The Girls Next Door is ready to give mouth to mouth,
if necessary, as she kicks off the celebrity lifeguard series for Amazing Sundays at Nikki
Beach. Kendra takes the chair from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Reserve Wine Bar Open in the Grand Sierra Resort

Self-serving wine bar Reserve opens its menu for customers to explore and experience its wide selection of wines at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.

Reserve, where every taste is an experience, offers a wide selection of both rare, hard-to-find wines and popular selections found worldwide. The bar also provides more than 80 varieties of red and white wines and champagne with prices ranging from $.50 to $15 per ounce.
Reserve features 10 enomatic wine units, installed by Rinaldini Distribution, Inc., and encases 8 bottles each for a self-serving wine tasting experience.

Award-winning sommelier, Alain Gregoire, has an extensive amount of experience in wine tasting, oversees the bar and provides wine education.

"The beauty with wine is that we can experience and learn about them from all over the world," said Gregoire. "Wine is live and like a person, it changes with age and origins."

Reserve also serves a wide-selection of cheeses and an assortment of dessert and wine pairings.
